Itinerary

Day 1: Full day tour to Giza Pyramids, Saqqara, and Dahshur (or Memphis City)

Your full-day tour begins at 8:00 am with a Sphinx Tours guide picking you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza. The first stop is the iconic Giza Pyramids, where you'll visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Explore the Valley Temple, where the priests mummified the body of King Chephren, and marvel at the Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion's body and King Chephren's head, standing watch over the vast funeral complex.

Next, you'll journey to Sakkara, located 27 km southwest of Cairo. Here, you'll visit the Step Pyramid, built for King Zoser and considered a crucial milestone in the evolution of pyramid construction, transitioning from the simple mastaba to the familiar pyramidal form.

The tour then takes you to the Dahshur Pyramids (Bent and Red Pyramids), a royal necropolis in the desert on the West Bank of the Nile, approximately 40 kilometers (25 mi) south of Cairo. This site is renowned for several pyramids, including two of the oldest, largest, and best-preserved in Egypt (the Bent and Red Pyramids), built between 2613–2589 BCE.

Alternatively, you can choose to skip Dahshur and visit Memphis City instead, Memphis served as the first capital of ancient Egypt for over eight dynasties and remained a crucial city for over 3,000 years. Founded around 3100 BC by King Menes (Narmer), the unifier of ancient Egypt. Here, you'll witness the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx, dating back to 3100 B.C.

At the end of the day, you'll be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.

There is a possibility of entering any of the pyramids from inside, riding a camel around the Giza pyramids, or riding a quad bike in the vast desert, but all those activities can be added on during the booking process as they require additional fees.

Day 2: Full day tour to The Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Salah El-Din and Old Cairo

The tour starts at 8:00 am with pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza by a Sphinx Tours guide to start your full day tour visiting the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. It displays the largest and most precious collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts in the world, exhibiting over 250,000 genuine items dating back as far as 5,000 years. This includes an exclusive exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun – a collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry buried for over 3,500 years in his tomb before discovery in 1920.

Then visit The Citadel of Salah El-din in Cairo, majestically perched on Cairo's highest point, this medieval fortress was built by Salah El-Din (Saladin) between 1176-1183 CE to protect the city from Crusaders and then inside you will visit the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha, the crown jewel of the Citadel, this Ottoman-style mosque was built between 1830-1848 by Muhammad Ali Pasha, the founder of modern Egypt.

Then on to Old Cairo, also known as Coptic Christian Cairo. This area contains locations visited by the Holy Family and retains great spiritual significance. Although their stay was brief, the Governor sought to kill the infant Jesus, enraged by toppling idols in his path. They took shelter in a cave above where the Church of Abu Serga (St. Sergius) now stands. This whole district draws Christian pilgrims from around the world. You will also be able to visit and enter the Church of Abu Sergah, the Hanging Church, St. Barbara, and Ben Ezra Synagogue – the old Jewish synagogue.

Day 3: Full day tour to Alexandria from Cairo

This tour starts at 07:00 am with pickup from your hotel in either Cairo or Giza by Sphinx Tours guide and transfer by Private A/C vehicle to Alexandria where it is 220 k/m away from Cairo.
